Hi,
This is Wen-Chuan from Taiwan. I am teaching 'Reading & Writing' course in a language college using Wikis. That's why it's amazing to see it is used by ScottishCiLT. As I used to work (2007-08) in the Uni of Bath as Research Fellow and planned to launch a Mandarin learning-related research using socio-cultural theory. Unfortunately, it was not a successful bid due to limited funds, but with very possitive feedback from the ESRC reviewers. The point is one of your CiLT colleague (who worked at the Uni of Sterling) contected me last year about this research. But I cannot remember her name. Would it be possible for you to help find this colleague and I may regain our contact. My hunch is Scotland may be interested in this Foreign language learning research, and I may try this bidding in Scotland or even co-work with your CiLT colleague. Here is the title of it: Scoping Study to Understand Pupils' Choices for Learning Foreign Languages in Secondary Schools: Chinese and French Sorry about the long message, but do appreciate your king assistance. Look forward to hearing from you. Best Wishes, Dr. Wen-Chuan Lin Assistant Professor, Department of English WenZao Ursuline College of Languages, Taiwan =========================== Email: 97072@mail.wtuc.edu.tw ============================ |
